A close friend of mine recently had an accident and splashed some chemicals in his eyes.  He was working in a paint shop and knocked a plastic cup of paint thinner on the table and some of it splashed up into his eyes.  He was not wearing any protective eye wear at the time and automatically his eyes reacted to the chemicals.  He was unable to see for a short period of time and chemically burned the surface of his eyes.  Needless to say he received quite a scare and some very sore eyes.  Don’t take your eyes for granted, all it takes is one accident.  Come see us with your spectacle prescription and get fitted for safety glasses, your eyes will thank you.

Tip: Sunglasses are also a type of safety glasses for those who work outside.  Over time the sun can damage the surface of the eyes and make permanent changes.
